Consistent service, reliable choice

I've been with RedPocket for over two years now, always getting their annual plans. This time, I got the 25GB data plan, and it was just as smooth as my previous renewals. The service has always been consistent on the GSMT network, which works best in my area. I appreciate that I can keep my number easily each time. It's why I keep coming back; no surprises, just reliable mobile service at a good price. They're a solid option if you want to set it and forget it.

Easy setup, works well

Got the 1GB data plan. Setup was quick with my existing phone. Service has been reliable. No complaints about calls or data. Good value for what I need.

Good annual plan value

I bought the annual 10GB data plan for my iPhone 13 a few weeks ago. The ordering process on their website was straightforward. I chose the GSMA network, and they sent a physical SIM card, which arrived in 4 days. Activation was easy; I just followed the instructions online. I ported my old number, and it went through without any issues within an hour. Data speeds have been consistent, and calls are clear. I haven't needed customer support yet, but the service has been reliable so far. It's a significant saving compared to what I was paying before for similar data.

Amazing service, great price!

Switched to RedPocket and got their 5GB data plan. It's been fantastic! Super easy to set up my eSIM on my Samsung Galaxy S24. The coverage is great, and my data is fast. Definitely recommending this to all my friends. I'm going to shop here again for sure!

Decent value, slight hiccup

I purchased an unlimited talk and text plan with 5GB high-speed data. The price was competitive, and the activation of my physical SIM was mostly simple. I did have a small issue with the APN settings initially, which took about 15 minutes to figure out from their online FAQs. Once that was sorted, service has been fine; calls are clear, and data speeds are acceptable for my daily use. I would say it's good value, but they could make the APN setup a bit more intuitive or provide clearer instructions with the SIM card itself.

Are those annual plans on their site really cheaper in the long run? Seems like a big upfront cost.

P Paul Hernandez 3 weeks ago
Definitely cheaper. I did the math for the 10GB plan and it saved me like $100 over the year compared to monthly.

B Barbara Sanchez 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they usually give a pretty good discount for paying yearly. It's a commitment but if you like the service it's worth it.

Thinking about the unlimited plan. Is it truly unlimited high-speed data or does it throttle after a certain point?

B Brandon Brown 1 month ago
It's unlimited high-speed up to a certain cap (like 50GB or something) then it slows down. Check the fine print for the exact number on your plan.

The 'unlimited' plans usually have a high-speed data cap, then it's slower. Still works for basic stuff but streaming gets rough. It's pretty standard for MVNOs.

Can I use my old unlocked iPhone 12 with RedPocket? Or do I have to buy a new phone from them?

R Ryan T. 2 weeks ago
Yep, as long as it's unlocked you can use it. I brought my old Pixel over with no problem.

Most unlocked phones work just fine. You just gotta make sure you pick the right SIM for your phone's network compatibility (GSMA, GSMT, CDMA).

RedPocket vs Mint Mobile, which one is better for someone who travels internationally a lot?

L Linda J. 4 days ago
RedPocket seems to have more options for international calling and roaming add-ons. Mint's international stuff is a bit more basic afaik.

If you travel a lot, RedPocket probably wins. Their international calling credits and roaming passes are pretty flexible. Mint is more focused on just US service.

Is RedPocket actually legit? Never heard of them before but the prices are good.

P Patricia Parker 1 month ago
Totally legit. Been using them for two years now, no issues. They just use the major networks.

Yeah, they're an MVNO, so they're basically reselling service from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon. It's real.
